Reason to use a brush tip with a timed pulse dispenser
Last Updated: 12/01/2012
Some applications require a different deposit other than a dot or a bead. More like a smear. By combining our brush tip with one of our air-powered dispensers, many new applications have become possible.

The most common applications are to apply small smears of greases and various adhesives, such as PVC cement.

One customer uses the brush tips to apply a lubricant to dimmer switches. One customer applies greases to panels switches. A mask manufacturer uses brush tips to apply contact adhesive to secure the hoods on masks.

Typical smearing applications usually involve dipping and spreading the grease, oil, lubricant or paint. Cotton swabs and small brushes are used extensively. The problem is control (or lack of it). With a timed pulse dispenser such as the TS250 or TS255, the brush is recharged exactly after each cycle, so the smeared amount becomes more consistent.

The timed pulse dispenser offers additional benefits including time savings and a closed application system.

If you are currently using cotton swabs or small manual brushes in production, it is worth considering the benefits of moving to a timed pulse dispenser to eliminate the problems with a dip and transfer method.
