Pistons when used with syringe barrels ensure that the pressure is evenly spread across the fluid surface to provide consistent dispensing. Wiper seal pistons prevent dripping and eliminate material waste by wiping the syringe barrel wall clean as fluid is dispensed. Maximum operating pressure is 100psi (6.9 bar).

Wiper pistons are a tighter fit for use with low to medium viscosity fluids or with mechanical devices such as our manual syringe gun to help slow down leakage past the double wiping edges. Supplied in a sealed pack of 50 pistons direct from stock.

Pistons are made of plastic and have dual blades to wipe the adhesive, paste or liquid from inside the syringe barrel as they move down. The blades also act to stop liquids from going past them as they dispense. Once a syringe has liquid inside, insert the piston and push down on one side. This will allow air to escape and ensures the piston sits directly on the fluid without an air gap. When bottom filling using a barrel filler, the piston is pushed down and moves up as the liquid is fed into the syringe barrel.
