Description
AD‑AS2 Acetal Aircraft Sealant Scraper for Precision Rework & Surface Preparation
The AD‑AS2 Acetal Scraper features a wide 1.56" (40mm) working area designed for efficient sealant removal, rework and tidy‑up on critical aircraft structures. Ideal for use on pressurised fuselage skins, lap joints, butt joints and other sensitive areas such as antenna cut‑outs, wing‑to‑body fairings and window forgings, this scraper provides controlled removal without damaging the substrate.
Manufactured from a Boeing and Airbus‑approved semi‑crystalline thermoplastic, the scraper offers excellent pliability, strength and chemical resistance. Its non‑marring material ensures safe use on bare alclad aluminium airframes and composite surfaces, eliminating the risk of scratches, scoring or structural damage.
The luminous red colour provides high visibility in aerospace environments, reducing FOD (Foreign Object Debris) risk and improving quality control. Side edges are smooth‑finished for operator comfort during extended use.
In addition to aircraft sealant removal, the AD‑AS2 scraper is suitable for removing decals, stickers, loose paint and surface contaminants where metal tools may cause damage.
All AD‑AS1, AD‑AS2 and AD‑AS3 scrapers undergo a strict 3‑step QA/QC process to ensure consistent quality. These scrapers have been tested to Boeing Standard BSS7384. Full test reports are available on request.
